VMA 2013

So after keeping everyone on suspense for the longest time, we finally get to see Gaga opening the VMA 2013 with Applause! I was very fascinated with her usual antiques and unique ways of starting her songs.

This one has her looking directly onto the camera going “I can feel my heart beating in your hands, Meeting in this dance, Pull the trigger ,I'm ready it's showtime”. It sounds like a lyric extraction from one of her track- Aura!

And for a moment, I was going “finally, Gaga is wearing something that covers up her modesty!” Lord, I was so wrong. She ends her song only clad in seashells and flowers/ bushes- my only interpretation to that is that Lady Gaga was transforming herself to be the next Little Mermaid. 

Of course in the middle, you have your usual moments of frowns and laughters and controversials. 

And then you have Gaga comforting One Direction after they were booed off stage!

And the award show is aptly closed with Katy Perry’s roar! In case you didn't catch tit, the announcer said it 19 times throughout the night- this is her "biggest hit ever." Just when you thought the performance wouldn't be complete without boxing Perry getting a championship title belt, there it is. Good work Katy, on winning whatever title fight it was that you won.
